June 8, 2024 (Fort Worth, TX) — Texas-based comics publisher Crown Comics is now accepting submissions for its inaugural comics anthology, Saturday Morning Comics!

Crown Comics is seeking creators wanting to submit eight-page comic stories, scripts, and pitches, as well as artwork, for consideration for this 140-page, full-color collection set for release in both trade paperback and digital formats in early 2025.
The Saturday Morning Comics Anthology is a love letter to the past; take a journey back with us to the Saturday mornings of our youth. This project transports you back to a time off sitting in front of the television with a bowl full of sugary cereal in your pajamas watching the best cartoons every made.
We want this first issue to be filled to the very top of the cereal and box packed full of all out action! Said Brent E. Erwin Crown Comis publisher. Each segment should feature each creator’s unique take on their very own original Saturday morning cartoon concept. We expect a fun and entertaining story with stunning art curated to fit the feel and flavor of each creator’s new concept.

Theme & Tone:
For the Saturday Morning Comics Anthology each segment should feature each creator’s unique take on their very own original Saturday morning cartoon concept. All types and styles of cartoon are acceptable some examples are: Action/Adventure, Anime, Funny Animal, Mystery, and Humor. Simply think of your favorite cartoon gowning up and that style will work; just make it original and make it FUN!
Page Count & More:
All submissions should be no more than 8 pages in length woth one (1) additional cover style pin-up image.
Story Duration:
All stores submitted for the Saturday Morning Comics Anthology’s first issue should be stand alone and not continuous in design.
