Brent Erwin has 35 plus years’ experience in advertising sales, marketing, design, custom publishing, I.P creation and niche retail in the comic book industry. He was a founding partner with Ape Entertainment where for 10 years we produced some of the best content in comics.
His goal with Crown Comics is to simply have fun while producing some truly amazing, interesting and entertaining comics and intellectual properties. We are taking a very new and exciting approach to our publishing and distribution model this time around; so hang around and find out. We are open to any new business development ideas such as licensing opportunities, strategic partnerships and custom publishing, just to name a few. We are all about new I.P Generation and making some memorable and fun new content.
Kevin Freeman

Kevin Freeman is a military brat who has been in and out of the comics industry for over 25 years as a fan, retailer, editor, and administrator, and has a number of small-press writing credits to his name. Most noteworthy, he was the Managing Editor at Ape Entertainment until moving on to Action Lab Conics, where he served as President from 2012 to 2015. In real life, he is a retired professor of political science and currently is involved in the family business. He is an avid traveler and a baseball and soccer fan. He currently lives in Alabama with his wife and teenage son.
Mark Finn

Mark Finn is an author, an editor, a game designer and a pop culture critic, broadcasting his pirate signal from the totally real and not at all made up North Texas Apocalypse Bunker where he weighs in on matters both sacred and silly as he analyzes the entropic decline of our broken society. He is a nationally recognized authority on Robert E. Howard and has written extensively about the Texas author. When he is not waxing eloquent about popular culture, he writes comics and fiction, dabbles in magic, and performs community theater. He lives in North Texas over the Historic Vernon Plaza Theater with his high school sweetheart and an embarrassing excess of books. Mark Hall

Mark Hall is a writer, cartoonist, and tabletop game designer C. Michael Hall (you can call him Mike) has been creating professionally since the late 1990s, and was the original managing editor for comics publisher Ape Entertainment. He is best known for the series of educational comics he created for academic and public libraries from 2011 to 2024, and recently co-wrote an information literacy textbook in graphic novel format for the University of Chicago Press. He was a reviewer, columnist, and cartoonist for ACE Magazine and has produced advertising for print and other media. In addition to his freelance work, Mike has taught college courses in comics and cartooning. He resides in the Chicago area where he also works as a librarian.
Jason M. Burns

When not writing in his spiral notebooks, Jason M. Burns can be found outside getting his tattoo-
covered arms dirty where he spends the warmer months hybridizing daylilies and tending to his koi
pond. Type A even when typing, the former public relations professional made the leap into the comic
book industry in 2004 after being approached to write a short story for Dead@17: Rough Cut, Volume
1. Since that time he has written and created a number of critically-acclaimed and commercially
successful comic book series and graphic novels, including Jericho: Season 3, which appeared on the
New York Times Best Sellers list. He has worked as Editor in Chief for Ape Entertainment where he
spearheaded book lines for Sesame Street and the DreamWorks Animation stable of titles and most
recently served as Chief Creative Officer for Neymar Jr. Comics, the publishing company of
international soccer star Neymar Jr. There his writing was translated across six languages and reached
over 40 million people worldwide. In addition to comic books, Burns also works in Hollywood where
he has a number of television and film projects in development. He is also co-host of the hit podcast
series What About, which he produces alongside actor Danny Nucci (Titanic, The Fosters).
Burns currently lives in Massachusetts with his wife, two children, and a trio of rescue dogs with
unnecessarily silly names, Bark W. Grizwold, Maisy Gray, and Bad Bad Leroy Brown.
