Coming of the Earth Pig!

Hey Gang, welcome back. Today I have a very special treat for you. I have the preliminary design of a BRAND-NEW character!

All the art is by the AMAZING “Bil Cassonato;” who has been hard at work designing new characters for me and the P.A.W.’s of Justice universe. We are proud to debut our newest character the “Earth Pig.”

The ‘Earth Pig” aka “Boaris Schweinenfleisch” is the hired muscle of “New Stork City crime lord “H.I’ Pottomus.” Due to a freak accident while on a job Earth Pig gained the ability to transform his body into rock, sand, or mud/clay at will. He will is a swine to reckon with for sure. 😉

Gaelstone Media, Maple Powered Games, Partner with Crown Comics

Crown Comics is very proud to announce that we have entered into a publishing partnership with Gaelstone Media and Maple Powered Games to produce comics based on their new property MechaMAX currently in development. Please see the Galestone Media announcement below.

Bryan and I are so honored and proud and privileged to be able to announce that, we, #GaelstoneMedia have just entered into a partnership with #MaplePoweredGames, the company that will be releasing the GIJoe: Wrath of Cobra game later this year. Our new strategic partnership will see us developing a new IP called #MechaMAX for game, toys, animation, comics and much, much more.

The Saturday Morning Comics Anthology

June 8, 2024 (Fort Worth, TX) — Texas-based comics publisher Crown Comics is now accepting submissions for its inaugural comics anthology, Saturday Morning Comics! 

Are you TOON enough?

Crown Comics is seeking creators wanting to submit eight-page comic stories, scripts, and pitches, as well as artwork, for consideration for this 140-page, full-color collection set for release in both trade paperback and digital formats in early 2025.

The Saturday Morning Comics Anthology is a love letter to the past; take a journey back with us to the Saturday mornings of our youth. This project transports you back to a time off sitting in front of the television with a bowl full of sugary cereal in your pajamas watching the best cartoons every made. 

We want this first issue to be filled to the very top of the cereal and box packed full of all out action! Said Brent E. Erwin Crown Comis publisher. Each segment should feature each creator’s unique take on their very own original Saturday morning cartoon concept. We expect a fun and entertaining story with stunning art curated to fit the feel and flavor of each creator’s new concept.

ANTHOLOGY DETAILS:

For the Saturday Morning Comics Anthology each segment should feature each creator’s unique take on their very own original Saturday morning cartoon concept. All types and styles of cartoon are acceptable some examples are: Action/Adventure, Anime, Funny Animal, Mystery, and Humor. Simply think of your favorite cartoon gowning up and that style will work; just make it original and make it FUN!

Picking up the Crown!

Well gang, I guess it’s finally time to let the cat out of the bag!

After years away I have decided to dip my toes back into comic book publishing. With that, I am very proud to announce the formation of “Crown Comics.” Crown will be the new imprint under which I will focus my future publishing efforts.

I have convinced some of my old cohorts whom I have had the pleasure of working with in the past along with a few new folks as well to come and join me. More on that a little later. For now our mantra here at Crown Comics is simply Let’s have some fun! This time around its very simple… It must be fun. I have reached the age that if it’s not fun I really don’t want to put the time and effort into doing it lol.

Before I made this decision, I needed some time away from publishing to recharge and let the “well refill” with some new ideas and to give some love to a few old ones that still interest me. Crown Comics will be fun. I will work with creators I respect and want to work with because it will be fun. Please don’t misunderstand; I will apply all that I have learned in business and try my best to always make this business as professional as possible and to produce the best quality work and product.

BUT above all else it must be FUN if not it’s not worth doing.

Please keep an eye here on the Crown Comics Facebook page as I start rolling out announcements on new projects, creators, and partners over the next several weeks.
